"I hope things will get better."
"I hope I get that promotion."
"I hope she still loves me."
"I hope the doctor has good news for me."
"I hope, I hope, I hope."
We all have hopes. Hopes that things will be different...that they can be different. The situation that we find
ourselves in leaves us wanting more, it leave us wanting a change for the better -
a better job, a better relationship, a better grade, a better position in life, a better house, a better car...
and the list goes on and on.
And with our hopes, we put expectations on the people around us, as well as expectations on ourselves to make things better.
And as things don't change the way we want them to, at the pace we want them to, or at all for that matter, we are disappointed.
We are disappointed with ourselves and with other people.
We are disappointed with our lives...and often feel hopeless to do anything about it.
At Anastasia 16 Church, we've discovered a hope that doesn't disappoint. It's a hope that is real.
And it's a Hope that says,
"I will make all things new!"
This hope doesn't depend on me or another person.
It doesn't depend on how hard I try or even how hard I hope for it to happen.
This hope, this confident expectation we have depends on something that has already been done,
something that has already been secured for us through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
and something that has already been given to those who trust in Him.
Join us this Easter as we discover again the real Hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
"and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts
through the Holy Spirit who was given to us."
